Paramount Skydance Will Remove Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – News
Skydance Paramount will start mass layoffs beginning on 27 October, removing about 2,000 American roles within a budget-saving initiative totaling $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.
The workforce reduction come after the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August worth $8.4bn.
More global layoffs are expected, with Paramount Skydance planning to reveal complete information in its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.
Previous updates had indicated the firm planned to eliminate from 2,000 and 3,000 roles before the start of November.
Until December 2024, the organization retained about 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 project-based staff.
Paramount Skydance has not yet commented on the matter.
